Winemaker of the Year for 2010 is Jožef Prus

Yesterday, AGRA fair in Gornja Radgona was dedicated to winemakers. In the afternoon the best winemakers, who took part with their wines at the 36th open national wine assessment Vina Slovenija, received recognitions, and the best winemaker was announced. 

This year the title of the best winemaker again went to Jožef Prus from Krmačina near Metlika.

The 36th open national assessment Vino Slovenija Gornja Radgona took place from 19-21 July in the premises of the Pomurski fair show in Gornja Radgona, which welcomed 223 winemakers from six countries (Slovenia, Croatia, Montenegro, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia), who competed with 679 samples of their highest quality wines.

242 silver, 150 golden and 33 grand golden medals as well as 10 champion awards were awarded. Further, four champions of Slovenian wine tourist roads were also announced.

Stanko Čurin received the award of the Tourist Reporters Association for life achievements in winemaking.
